A Happy New Year to you all! The 1st quarterly LATA conference will be held at the Baymont Inn & Suites Hotel & Sai Convention Center in Alexandria, March 12 – 14, 2008. Mark your calendars now & make plans to attend - the conference will be both informative and entertaining.
We will begin the conference with a golfer’s boxed lunch & four man scramble on Tuesday, March 11th at 12 noon at the Oak Wing Golf Club. On Wednesday evening, Oak Wing will be the hot spot for entertainment with another LATA “Twilight Golf” tournament. This is for inexperienced and experienced alike...each team must have at least one inexperienced player please. Our 2005 twilight golf tournament was a blast, so be sure to sign up for the fun. Dress code for the golf course requires collared shirts – no denim please.
The agenda has been tweaked again beginning with the 1st quarter to offer some of the old conference style as well as some of the new. We will have a great group of speakers lined up for you during the general sessions on Thursday afternoon & Friday morning. On Thursday night plan to “shake your grove thang” with Tony Groove!
The early registration fee for all this fun & fellowship is $175 for LATA members and $200 for non-members. A late fee of $25 will be added to registrations after February 29th. Golf registration fees are $65 for the regular tournament which includes green fees, range balls, cart rental, box lunch, etc & $45 for the twilight tournament (glow in the dark balls included) or $100 for both tournaments.
The conference room rates are $60 per night, king or $70 per night for two queens. Reservations may be made by calling (318) 619-3300 and must be reserved under group name “LATA” by February 29, 2008 to receive the special rate.
As usual, we welcome any assistance in the form of contributions or donations for the conference. Contributions may include goody bag items, golf prizes, door prizes, cash donations or any other contribution to be used toward the golf tournaments, hospitality room or overall conference.
