As a result of Act 673 and Act 796 in the 2012 regular session, the hotel and motel current rates will no longer be in effect after December 31, 2012.

Act 796, states that the Abbeville Film and Visitors Commission District (Column I) will expire December 31, 2012. The occupancy tax reduction from 1.5 % to 0% will be effective January 1, 2013 for Abbeville Film and Visitors Commission District (for hotels located in the city limits of Abbeville). Column I will be removed from the hotel/motel tax form.

Act 673, Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission Hotel/Motel (Column H) will decrease from 5% to 2% beginning January 1, 2013. There are no optional exemptions.
